This year for spring break, we went to Lufkin to do a wedding. My husband performed the ceremony and I was lucky enough to sing. This was such a surreal time in our lives. We watched the bride grow from a sixth grader in our student ministry to a beautiful woman. What a blessing to be part of such a special day. It was truly our honor to be a part of it. Even though we are feeling "old", what a joy to watch these kids grow into mature adults.
The older my husband and I become, the more weddings we have the privilige to be a part of. As I watched the bride and groom recite their vows to each other and look at each other with that "giddy" feeling, I started thinking back on the journey that my husband and I have been on. It seems like only yesterday that we were looking at each other that way and yet it has been 13 years. I am blessed to be married to my best friend. I can not imagine going through life with anyone else.
