Reflections

Day 2, and I am really trying. I am a year behind, and so in order to catch up, I thought I would reflect on a few things from last year.

The Brewer's had some big milestones in this year. One big one for us was celebrating 15 years of marriage together. We always talked about going to New York on our 15th during Christmas, and I am sad to report, we did not make it. (Instead, we are celebrating 15 years of marriage and a 40th birthday (not mine) on a cruise this summer. We did however find some time to get away. We went to Dallas and spent some time reflecting on our 15 years. We visited the Gaylord and went to see Ice! It was so cool and I mean that in two ways. It was a balmy 10 degrees in there!

I just love the dog in the Grinch. I always felt so sorry for him!

One night while we were eating dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Lance shared with me how he wanted to come up with 15 things that we could do together that we have NOT done before over this next year. They could very simple to unique - like a cruise. Needless to say, one of those ideas was to start working out together. I agreed and thought sure, why not. I could use the motivation, knowing that we would probably give up the gusto after the first week - especially since we would have to give up sweets. I have to say, it has been tough-not so much the work outs, but giving up sweets and bread. I am proud to say that here it is the 2nd week in February and we are still at it. Are we seeing massive results? No, but our clothes are fitting differently....and I have learned a lot about my husband!
